The National Honor Society is now accepting applications for their organization for sophomores, juniors and seniors! The organization values service, character, scholarship, and leadership in students. Students who have an unweighted GPA of 3.2 or higher have been emailed asking to join this wonderful opportunity. 

    According to English Teacher Ms. Salter “We are a community service organization. We have participated in Trick-or-Treat Around the Track, organized a Thanksgiving canned food drive, and participated in Toys for Tots.” The National Honor society is great for students excited to help their community become a better place.                                                                       

    To apply eligible students must fill out an application form and get a teacher recommendation. After turning it in, the faculty council will decide if they are accepted into the membership. The organization will be holding their annual induction ceremony on February 13th at 7 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center for students to be accepted. 

    In conclusion, the National Honor Society is a great way to meet new people, make a difference, and have fun!
