Hurricanes are a big part of the weather system and they can destroy whatever is in its path. Currently there was a severe hurricane in California. The remnants of Tropical Storm Hilary, a Category 4 hurricane when it was churning in the Pacific before crashing ashore in Mexico, brought record breaking rainfall to Southern California, flooding roads, and causing mudslides and rockslides as it barreled north. Hurricane season is a serious topic when it comes to what can happen when it comes ashore.
Hurricanes in Florida can be very devastating and hurricane season happens every year around the same time. You will have to be prepared for when it is coming. The worst hurricane ever recorded in Florida was the Labor Day hurricane in 1935 which had winds of up to 180mph when it struck the Florida Keys. Another hurricane that was powerful was hurricane Ian. This hurricane turned streets into rivers and blew down trees at landfall in Cayo Costa, a barrier island just west of heavily populated Fort Myers, tying it for the fourth-strongest hurricane ever to strike Florida this is why you will always need to be up to date on the news so then you will always know if there is a hurricane coming near you.
Steps you can take to be prepared for when a hurricane comes to you. Number 1 is you will need to make sure you have enough food and water just in case you cannot leave the house for a couple of days. The 2nd step you must take is to ensure you have enough emergency supplies. The reason you should have these supplies is just in case someone gets hurt or sick. Then you will have enough medicine and a first aid kit in to help anyone.

All you must do is be calm when it is happening and make sure that you take all precautions before it has arrived to make sure nothing goes wrong.
