Who is excited for spring sports to be back? Softball is back for another great season, full of excitement. Softball is an underrated Sport, it’s fast, powerful and a time hobby. These women at WCHS work in season along with out off season showing their dedication to the Sport; not only to do well but for college, and making it to Sectionals. Coach Ashley works with the varsity team, continuously guiding them to many wins. We also have many other great athletes as well. Because soft ball isn’t a very popular sport and many don’t know the ins and outs, we decided to get exclusive insiders from the coach and a star varsity player. The questions we prepared should set you up to be a pro at softball, you might even make it to the league! Lets see what is in store for the season and what players and coaches have to say.
Our group held an interview at the beginning of the season, and a player on the team was excited and ready to share. First, we asked how the tryout process was. The player we interviewed answered that try outs well, but a little stressful. Following this, we asked what her pre game ritual was, and she told us that she converses with her parents. When asked what advice she would give to anyone, she said she would tell people to work hard enough.
Softball is a wonderful sport to play in the spring season, and is such a fun and competitive sport with hard working players and committed coaches. With much excitement for the upcoming season, we cant wait to see how far these girls go. GO WILDCATS!
