Verity is a horror romantic novel that has a mind boggled plot that will keep you on your toes. Verity, written by Colleen Hoover, was published October 5th 202 1. This TikTok sensation went 5 stars.

Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer that is really close of a financial ruin when she accepts a job that’s once in a lifetime. Jermey Crawford, husband of best selling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish.

Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity’s notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started. What Lowen doesn’t expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read. Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity’s recollection of the night her family was forever altered.

Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jermey, knowing its contents could devastate the already grieving father. But as Lowen’s feelings for Jermey begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife’s words. After all, no matter how devoted Jermey is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue loving her.

Quote from Verity.

This novel Colleen Hoover wrote is a psychological thriller that was written. This book made me feel all different emotions, shocked, scared, happy, sad, and a whole lot of confusion. I finished this book in a day due to the fact that I couldn’t put it down. During this book we find out that Lowen is in major need to money and will do anything for it, but never in her mind would she believe that this is how it would happen. In this time, she falls in love not knowing if this grieving father would ever love her back.

Hoover works hard to build a strong air of tension, mistrust, fear and danger at every axis point in the story, it was really amazing. I loved the book’s aspect of Verity, it appealed very much to my particular tastes as a reader. I thought I would turn off the various steamy love scenes in this novel’s direction as a whole. But I was in fact wrong, I was surprised that I stuck with Verity in these areas. I also loved the characters, and the creepy home and the discoveries made by Lowen. The plot twist in this book  turn this story completely and made you as the reader stop and take a second to breathe.

Since this book, I have read almost all of Colleen Hoover books and will still continue to read her books until I have no more to read. I will be collecting her books until I have all of them on my bookshelf!

A quote from Verity.

Here are some quotes from the following book:

“I think the idea of me is better than the reality of me.”

“Some families are lucky enough to never experience a single tragedy. But then thee are those families that seem to have tragedies waiting on the back burner. what can g wrong, goes wrong. And then gets worse.”

‘I hear thee crack of his skull before the spattering of blood reaches me.”
