The Self – Made: The Interview

Spotlight of our one and only, Mr. Antonio Emperator, and his lived philosophy.

Antonio EmperatorThe Self – Made are not the people who isolate, or abandon. They are not the ones who had the support that others do have, they are not the ones who settle for the same goals and achievements that others have. The clouds, are never their limit. They have none, they are self reliant, they reach for courage and support within themselves, and all their spirit and strength is their own and no one else’s. “..Work hard to fulfill YOUR goals and dreams, cause no one is going to care about your goals and dreams like you are”, states our very own Mr. Emperator, this years 12th grade assistant principal. This message to his class is something that this very AP lives by, always making sure to tell his students to work hard to achieve their goals.

To stretch all your possibilities, your present mind, and to stretch it in ways or experiences you have never done or learned before, is an important habit to reach this state of mind that Mr. Emperator preaches. “Whenever something new happens it causes you to stretch in a way where you have to try to learn how to figure out what to do in different situations, having something new everyday just causes you to learn”, says Emperator.

This AP’s ways of chasing your goals has touched many, and even more this year. Emperator exclaims, that he is now in charge of the 12th grade class, and now has the opportunity to work with the ESE kids, and the Athletics department. For him, this year has been packed with learning opportunities and essential moments that have helped this AP only grow and improve.

We thank Mr. Emperator for his time in this interview, and for reminding all the students he encounters to chase your goals, and to care for them like your the only one, because you are, and that is the most important lesson of all.
