Team USA Basketball is back and a couple of fresh players. They are doing good right now with keeping the rep of our country’s team being a lot better than other countries. There are 12 players on the team this year they are all players in the NBA They are playing pretty good with each other, they added a couple of players like Anthony Edwards, Jalen Brunson and Austin Reaves, they are all good players in the league with each of them are very big players with them being Anthony Edwards on the Timberwolves Jalen Brunson on the Knicks and Austin Reaves on the Lakers.
The team USA Basketball team is an American basketball that plays in the Olympics they hand pick a couple of American basketball players from the NBA. The team was founded by James Edward Sullivan and William Milligan Sloan. The team was founded in 1934 to play against other countries in basketball to compete for a medal. They play every 4 years; the team is only picked from American players. They always attract a big crowd of people to their games because it is a once every 4-year thing.
This year there scores so far are 2-0 they played New Zeeland on August 26 the score was 99-72 it was a closer game, but they took it away in the 4th quarter. They also played Greece on August 28 they beat Greece 109-81 this game was not a big challenge for USA. They are playing as a team and are working good together. Their team is very balanced with defensive player of the year Jaren Jackson Jr, and a big offensive threat duo Anthony Edwards and Jalen Brunson. They have a significant role player Austin Reaves who plays alongside Lebron James and is a big part in their team. There next game as of today is August 30th against Jordan which is a country in the middle Eastern.
The USA men’s basketball team is most known for their “Dream Team” in 1992 which was not called the dream team for no reason with all time players that are some of the bests for their position and in basketball in general. The lineup being Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson, Michael Jordan, and Larry Bird, three of the greatest players of all time, along with David Robinson, Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, John Stockton, Scottie Pippen, Christian Laettner, Clyde Drexler, and Chris Mullin. These players were the best at their time, which this team went 8-0, which is not surprising when you have people like this on the team. 11 of the people on this team were put in the hall of fame of basketball. Some people say this is the best team assembled in the history of sports.
The current team still has 6 games left and they have a good chance at getting at least a 6-2 record because they all come together with the way they play.
