Boys Weightlifting Strong Performance
The Wesley Chapels boys weightlifting team had a strong performance this year winning all but one regular season meet. Four of WCHS lifters become district champions and another one was runner up.
TJ Aguilar, Payton Cox, Josh Poleon, and Connor Libby all won their weight classes. Wyatt Eversole tied for first in total weight but was given runner up as the other lifter weighed in at a lighter weight to break the tie. As a team WCHS earned a 3rd place finish.
“The boys worked hard for this and were just 6 points shy of runner up and 16 points shy of bringing home our first ever district title in school history. Please congratulate these boys on a job well done if you have them in class,” stated Coach Egan.
