Girls Tennis Serving Big Wins
Serving up impressive tennis performances and academic success, Freshman, Ava Trigueros and Senior, Elizabeth Mays are heating up the tennis court.
Ava is the Class 3A District 9 Singles 5 Champion. She won all 3 matches in straight sets at districts.
Elizabeth is the Class 3A District 9 runner up at singles 4.
“The team finished 3rd out of 9 schools. The team was 1 point out of the runner -up spot so the standard is set for next year,” stated Coach Colding.
Lastly, but more importantly, the girls have a team GPA of 3.43. Elizabeth Mays and Wen Yang are both in the top 10 of the 2023 graduating class.
All 5 seniors are attending universities this fall: Wen Yang (Brown), Elizabeth Mays (FGCU), Macie Minich (Auburn), Maya Kurian (UCF), and Camila Perez-Martinez (Tennessee).
